TASC

Thinking Actively in a Social Context

The TASC model involves the pupils in the planning process which allows them to develop a range of skills which can be applied across the National Curriculum.

Thinking: pupils need to be taught how to reflect upon the thinking process in order to improve skills.
Active: pupils have ownership and direction of their own learning.
Social: pupils are given a sense of self in relation to others, team work is a key skill.
Context: pupils can apply their learning to real life situations, making sense of and using their learning, transferring skills and strategies to a new situation.
